The long path to the throne has only just begun for Aelin Galathynius. Loyalties have been broken and bought, friends have been lost and gained, and those who possess magic find themselves at odds with those don’t.
As the kingdoms of Erilea fracture around her, enemies must become allies if Aelin is to keep those she loves from falling to the dark forces poised to claim her world. With war looming on all horizons, the only chance for salvation lies in a desperate quest that may mark the end of everything Aelin holds dear.
Aelin’s journey from assassin to queen has entranced millions across the globe, and this fifth installment will leave fans breathless. Will Aelin succeed in keeping her world from splintering, or will it all come crashing down?
It’s 6th of September, and if you are an SJM fan like me, you know that today, Empire of Storms, the fifth book in the Throne of Glass series and the EIGHTH book overall that Sarah J. Maas publishes, is out in the world, alongside the Throne of Glass coloring book!
Ugh, I am soooo excited for both of them!
Since I don’t even have Queen of Shadows yet, I will also not get Empire of Storms too soon. Like the stupid person I am, I decided to not buy ANY of the books in this series in English, so they would all be the same edition, aka in Romanian and hardback. Buuuuut I do plan on buying EoS as soon as I finish Queen of Shadow because I just can’t take one more year of waiting!
I see people all over Instagram getting their copies and I am so happy for them, but I beg from each one of you a single thing: do not write spoilers without a warning. I don’t mind spoilers, I have to admit I actually go out looking for them (shame on me), but there are people whose reading experience is ruined by spoilers. Remember, not every one gets their copy on the release day and also not every one reads at the same pace.
To be honest, I am more excited for the coloring book than for EoS itself, maybe because I get to color my favourite characters ever. (I’ll make Rowan’s clothes pink, what do you think about that???) I am SO going to beg my mom to get me that coloring book.
Mom: Another one?
Me: *nods* Another one.
I already have two coloring books that I didn’t finish. One is the Animal Kingdom by Millie Marotta and the other one is the Game of Thrones coloring book. My problem with coloring books is that the drawings are so beautiful, it breaks my heart to ruin them with colors. What if I don’t follow the lines? What if the colors don’t match? Plus, some of them have so many small details, it is really hard for me to color them.
I still want the ToG one, and I shall have it. If not now, by Christmas I will.
Anyway, I wish everyone to enjoy reading this book! And congrats to Sarah for one more, I hope, amazing book!
I’ll see you later today with another post 🙂
